Welcome to Loimbie. By accessing or placing an order through our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.
1. About Loimbie
Loimbie is a bespoke, made-to-order lifestyle fashion brand, headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. We design and produce contemporary clothing that weaves together traditional African fabrics — including East African Kitenge and Kanga, West African Ankara, Kente, and Adire, and the mud cloth tradition of Bogolanfini — alongside global materials such as denim, linen, tweed, twill, and corduroy. All items are crafted to order based on your individual measurements.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website and placing an order, you confirm that:
• You are at least 18 years of age.
• You have read and understood these Terms of Service.
• You agree to be bound by these terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our store.
3. Made-to-Order Nature of Products
All Loimbie products are made to order. This is fundamental to how we operate:
• Items are not pre-produced or held in stock.
• Each garment is individually crafted based on the measurements you submit.
• Production commences only after your measurements have been received and confirmed by our team.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept the made-to-order nature of our products and the associated timelines and policies.
4. Ordering Process
The order process on Loimbie's store is as follows:
• Browse and select your desired item(s) and place your order through our Shopify store.
• You will receive a measurement guide video to help you take accurate body measurements.
• Submit your measurements via the designated upload link.
• Loimbie will verify your measurements and send a confirmation email — at this point, production begins and your order becomes final.
You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your measurements. Loimbie is not liable for fit issues arising from incorrect measurements submitted by the customer.
5. Pricing & Payment
All prices displayed on our store are in the currency shown at checkout and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Payment is collected in full at the time of ordering. We accept all major payment methods supported by Shopify Payments. All transactions are processed securely. Loimbie does not store your payment card details.
6. Cancellations & Returns
Please refer to our Return & Exchange Policy for full details. In summary:
• Cancellations may be requested before the production confirmation email is sent.
• Once production has commenced, orders cannot be cancelled, returned, or exchanged, except in the case of a manufacturing defect.
• Sizing issues resulting from inaccurate customer measurements are not grounds for a return or refund.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including the Loimbie name, logo, product imagery, design concepts, and written content — is the intellectual property of Loimbie. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this site without prior written permission.
The African fabrics and prints used in our garments carry their own rich cultural heritage and histories. Loimbie is committed to honouring and crediting these traditions in all that we do.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Loimbie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order in question.
9. Accuracy of Information
We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, measurements, and images are accurate. However, colours may vary slightly due to screen settings and fabric dye lots. We reserve the right to correct any errors or inaccuracies at any time.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our store shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
11. Changes to These Terms
Loimbie reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our store following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
